Soil Structure Team
The tasks of the soil structure team are to develop and maintain the skill of soil physics (theory, measuring, modelling) and to develop environmentally and economically beneficial soil management and tillage techniques.
The work includes soil physical measurements, modelling of hydrology and soil-plantsystems, practical solutions to problems concerning machine-soil-plant systems, soil porosity and the stability of soil structure studies, earthworm and root determinations, rainfall simulation, the integration of soil physics with other research areas and the construction of measuring instruments
The team is headed by Dr Laura Alakukku.
