Summary
Viinamärdi Farm in Estonia open their doors to the public for a Climate Farm Demo event during the national open farm weekend. Farmers Annemari Polikarpus and Denis Pretto showcase their Lacaune dairy sheep, and traditional Italian cheesemaking brought to Estonia. Denis brings his Italian family’s cheesemaking tradition to Estonia, and shows how mozzarella and burrata are being made.
As part of the Climate Farm Demo project, Viinamärdi Farm is also exploring ways to reduce its climate footprint — from using renewable energy to making better use of whey.
