Summary
Ziel des Projektes ist es das Thema unzulässiger Pflanzenschutzmittel- und Wirkstofffunde in der Bio-Wertschöpfungskette zu beleuchten. Hierzu werden Problembereiche im Detail analysiert, Informations- und Wissenslücken identifiziert und darauf aufbauend Handlungsempfehlungen abgeleitet.
Konkret werden folgende Ziele verfolgt:
Teil 1
• Identifikation von Ursachen unzulässiger Pflanzenschutzmittel (PSM)- und Wirkstofffunde entlang der Bio-Wertschöpfungskette
• Identifikation von PSM-Wirkstoffen mit hohem Kontaminationspotenzial für die Bio-Wertschöpfungskette
• Identifikation potenzieller Kontaminationspfade sowie unvermeidbarer Belastungshöhen bei Nichtanwendung
• Analyse von Daten zu PSM-Anwendungen sowie zur Kontamination von Nicht-Zielregionen (Umweltmonitorings)
Teil 2
• Identifikation benötigter Daten zur sachgerechten Beurteilung unzulässiger PSM- und Wirkstofffunde entlang der Wertschöpfungskette
• Stärken/Schwächen-Analyse bestehender Rückstandsdatenbanken
• Ableitung geeigneter Aggregationsformen von Datensammlungen zu unerwünschten PSM- und Wirkstofffunden
Teil 3
• Status Quo Analyse zum derzeitigen Umgang mit unzulässigen PSM- und Wirkstofffunden in Bio-Lebensmitteln bei Lebensmittelunternehmen und im Rahmen der Bio-Kontrolle
• Bewertung der Vorgehensweise in unterschiedlichen EU + EFTA Ländern und Ableitung von Handlungsempfehlungen

The aim of the project is to investigate the topic of unauthorized pesticide residues in the organic value chain. Problem areas along the organic value chain will be analysed in detail, information and knowledge gaps identified and recommendation for action will be derived.
The specific objectives are as follows:
Part 1
• Identification of residue causes of unauthorised pesticides along the organic value chain
• Identification of pesticides with a high contamination potential for the organic value chain
• Identification of potential contamination pathways and unavoidable levels of contamination
• Analysis of data on pesticide applications and contamination of non-target regions (environmental monitoring)

• Identification of data required for the proper evaluation of unauthorized pesticide residues along the organic value chain
• Analysis of strengths and weaknesses of existing residue databases

• Status quo analysis of the current handling of pesticide residues found in organic food at company level and as part of the organic control
• Evaluation of current procedures in various EU + EFTA countries and recommendation for action
