Summary

The organic farming practice is still in an unstructured stage in Bangladesh. Due to the affluent consumer group has been growing at a faster scale with health consciousness and thriving for safe food, the country has a huge market potential for organic products. In the domestic market, organic certification is not mandatory which puts the consumers in doubt on sources of organic produces. Moreover, the food adulteration situation of Bangladesh is very serious that pushes the consumers to get to know about organic produce what they are consuming. This paper emphasizes two successful models that provide transparency of the organic supply chain that created information flow between consumers and producers in a trustworthy manner.
