Summary
Objective: Compare feed intake, milk yield, and nitrogen (N) utilisation (g milk N 100 g-1) of lactating dairy cows either receiving a combination of grass hay and a fresh clover-grass mixture or only a fresh clover-grass mixture in addition to grazing a ryegrassclover pasture.
Hypothesis: Hay supplementation reduces organic matter intake (OMI) and milk yield, but increases N use efficiency.
