Summary

Summary translation

The majority of agricultural fairs in the Netherlands are organic and could be an important place to reach specific target groups. Despite the opportunities for organic entrepreneurs and despite of the increasing interest for food, food quality and with that the organic agriculture, development of these fairs seem to stagnate.
Reason for this study is a question from organic entrepreneurs. They noticed that agricultural fairs are not going well and want an answer to the following question: ‘why is there stagnation in the development of agricultural fairs and how can we solve this? Wageningen UR-PPO carried out a study to the success- and failure facts of agricultural fairs.
