Summary in the original language of the document
This study analyzed the fecal microbiome of Krškopolje pigs (N=18) across three rearing setups: co-pastured with small ruminants, raised indoors alone, and co-pastured with cattle. Seasonal changes significantly impacted microbiome composition, while rearing conditions or the presence of other animals did not. Key differences in microbiome composition were attributed to specific farms and livestock workers rather than production systems.
