Summary
• Robot-based cultivation in 3-meter strips succeeded much better in 2022 compared to 2021.
• Cultivation of grass-strip resulted in severe attacks by Tipula-larvae in sugar beets.
• The development of leaf diseases was reduced compared to the general picture in the beet-growing
area in Denmark and organic variety-trials. Data are, however, to limited to conclude whether this is
due to strip-wise cultivation of several crops within the same field.
• The yield level and the level of selected pests were very similar in 3- and 6-meter-wide crop strips.
