Bei der Suche nach potenziellen pflanzlichen Kandidaten für Pflanzenschutz- und -stärkungsmittel oder für Grundstoffe können neben den traditionell genutzten Pflanzen auch Berichte aus der forschenden Praxis und aus der Literatur hilfreich sein. Auch die empirische Vorgehensweise zur Testung von Pflanzen ist sehr erfolgversprechend. Auf diese Weise wurde z.B. ein Extrakt aus Süßholzblättern gefunden, der aktuell erforscht wird. Der Artikel zeigt Beispiele für Pflanzenextrakte und pflanzliche Stoffe in den verschiedenen o.g. Bereichen auf.

Moreover, an empirical approach is very promising. The latter lead to the discovery of an extract from licorice leaves, which is currently under investigation. The article shows examples for plant extracts and plant consituents that are used in the above mentioned categories.
