Policy recommendations for the delivery of the organic Farm to Fork Strategy targets by 2030 and beyond

Summary

The OrganicTargets4EU project was set up in support of the EU Farm to Fork and Biodiversity Strategies’ aim to reach 25% of agricultural land (UAA) under organic farming and a significant increase in organic aquaculture by 2030.
The project analysed production, market development, knowledge systems and socio-economic and environmental impacts under different scenarios, shaped by policy support, market pull, and citizen action.
This deliverable presents approach, policy context, project results, other reseaerch which were the basis for policy recommendations in seven thematic areas: Organic sector development, area payments, supply chains, consumer and promotion, AKIS, Research and Innovation, Statistics and market data, aquaculture and Organci Action plans. Some conclusions are also included.
