DR. JOHN PAULL traces the birth of a classic book on sustainable farming and the work of its pioneering author, Franklin King, a US Professor of Agriculture. His book 'Farmers of Forty Centuries' appeared in 1911. King reported favorably on his observations of the farming practices prevailing at the time in China, Japan and Korea.
