What problem does the tool address?:Paludiculture (palus (Latin): marsh, swamp, peatland) is a productive land use on wet or waterlogged organic soils, a., which usually originate in peatlands. What solution does the tool offer?:The document provides initial guidance for farmers, advisors, cantonal agencies for agriculture and nature conservation, and other interested parties. It highlights the opportunities and challenges of paludiculture, presents the various forms of use, guides readers through the most important questions in the decision-making process, and points to further sources of information. Selected case studies from Switzerland and neighboring countries provide insight into the successful implementation of paludiculture.
