Summary
The Climate Smart Advisors Project is using Communities of Practice (CoPs) to tackle a big challenge: the knowledge gap among advisors, which makes it difficult to convince farmers to adopt new practices. In this video, Pim Heeman from ZLTO presents the Dutch CoP focussing on the role of cover crops as climate-friendly farming practice.
CoPs bring together advisors from different organizations and interested farmers, to collaboratively enhance their knowledge and skills. Through kitchen table discussions, field visits, and peer-to-peer learning, CoPs build trust and provide practical solutions for climate adaptation and mitigation in farming.
