Summary
This video explains how quantitative PCR (qPCR) can be used to detect and quantify microorganisms in biological and environmental samples. The method measures DNA amplification in real time, allowing researchers to estimate the abundance of specific microorganisms with high sensitivity and accuracy.
The qPCR approach presented here is used within the project to quantify microbial communities, including arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, and to better understand their role in crop systems and plant–soil interactions.
