Summary in the original language of the document

This online course has 3 main modules.
Module 1 demonstrates sustainable and resilient nutritional solutions aimed at the highest possible fish performance in the framework of a safe and sustainable aquaculture and is split into 4 sessions. Session 1 focuses on fish nutrition in aquaculture, where participants learn about species-specific nutritionally adequate, tailor-made, low ecological footprint fish diets and their nutritional impact on farmed fish growth performance, health and quality for a better performing sustainable and organic aquaculture. Session 2 will highlight how the understanding of the impacts of environmental change and human activity on farmed fish can be greatly enhanced by the use of Internet of Things. Session 3 focuses on innovative fish feeds for health fish for a healthy human consumption and session 4 on metabolic traits of free-swimming fish in aquaculture.
Module 2 is organized in two parts that are stages in a sequence for developing communication campaigns to increase consumer awareness about sustainable aquaculture in Europe. In stage 1, students will focus on understanding how consumers respond to information about sustainable aquaculture production methods in Europe. In the stage 2, the knowledge on consumer reactions will be applied to practical guidelines for a marketing communication campaign.
Module 3 teaches aquaculture stakeholders about the most relevant aspects of EU policy on aquaculture, and specifically about the requirements of the EU Organic regulation in the context of organic aquaculture production.
