Summary in the original language of the document

This factsheet deals with adjustments to ensure a sufficient P supply, such as the role of crop rotation, precrop effects or general basics of fertilisation.

Summary translation

EPrint Type:Practice tool
Teaser:Basics of successful nutrient management.
What problem does the tool address?:The nutrient phosphorus (P) is very important for agricultural crops and is essential for plant growth and yield formation. Legumes also need phosphorus to fix nitrogen. Phosphorus leaves farms in large quantities via cash crops. There are P deficits on many organic farms. Fields from livestock-free farms in particular often have negative P balances. In addition, there are only very limited supplies of phosphorus worldwide, making circular thinking all the more important.
What solution does the tool offer?:There are a variety of adjustment options to ensure a sufficient phosphorus supply at the farm. It is important to think about soil conditions, crop rotation and fertilisation.
