À partir de 2025, la teneur en tourbe des jeunes plants de légumes et d'herbes aromatiques cultivés en mottes pressées sera limitée à 60% dans l'agriculture biologique. La tourbe a certes d'excellentes propriétés en tant que composant de substrat, l'extraction et l'assèchement des tourbières sont très nocifs pour l'environnement. Le secteur des légumes et des herbes aromatiques s'active et réduit volontairement la teneur en tourbe.
