Summary
Summary translation
Miroorganisms are important for the decomposition of organic matter in soil, but many species also contribute to the plant's nutrient supply by living freely in the soil or in symbiosis with plants. Analyzing DNA from soil samples, we found over 600 species of bacteria and 350 species of fungi in soil under meadow and potato. There were signs of a somewhat higher proportion of nitrogen-fixing bacteria in pastures and meadows, compared to in potato soil. There was also more mycorrhizal fungus in pastures and meadows than in potato soil. In general, there was a great diversity of species and little difference in species numbers between the various systems, while the internal composition of bacteria and fungi was somewhat more different.
