Der er positiv klimaeffekt af at dyrke kløvergræs, høste græsset til biogasproduktion og efterfølgende gøde med effektiv gødning fra biogasanlægget. Men økonomisk er det endnu ikke attraktivt for landmændene, der ofte kan få billig husdyrgødning fra konventionelle landmænd.
