Summary in the original language of the document

Measurements of ammonia emission to the air and nutrient load to the soil caused by droppings of the hens in the outdoor run on a commercial farm (3000 hens) and an experimental farm (2x250 hens). The results show that the ammonia emission from the outdoor run of laying hens was relatively small compared with the emission from the hen house and that the nutrient load in the outdoor run near the house by far exceeded maximum acceptable levels
