Summary
Nieuwe inzichten in de bijdrage aan een duurzame samenleving van de biologische landbouw vormen de aanleiding om de maatschappelijke effecten van de biologische sector opnieuw voor het voetlicht te brengen. In deze studie worden de maatschappelijke kosten en baten van de biologische landbouw ten opzichte van de gangbare landbouw in beeld gebracht. Daarbij gaat het niet alleen om die kosten en baten die in geld zijn uit te drukken, maar ook om de (nog) niet in geld uitgedrukte kosten en baten.
Summary translation
New insights into the contribution of organic agriculture to a sustainable society form the background to a study aimed at re-evaluating the social effects of the organic sector. This study compares the social costs and benefi ts of organic agriculture with those of regular agriculture. The focus is not only on the costs and benefi ts which can be expressed in monetary terms, but also on the costs and benefi ts which have not (yet) been expressed in these terms
