Het voedselvraagstuk – in 2050 moeten negen miljard mensen worden gevoed – kan met intensieve landbouw te lijf worden gegaan. Maar hoe duurzaam is dat? Alternatieven zoals biologische landbouw zijn wellicht duurzaam, maar het kan nog veel duurzamer. Permacultuur, een samenvoeging van permanent en agricultuur, is een manier van denken die de biologische landbouw verder kan verduurzamen. In dit artikel een eerste oriëntatie.
