Organic food products tend to be perceived as healthier and more environmentally friendly than they actually are due to halo effects of the organic label. Employing the recently developed Nutri-Score and Eco-Score front-of-package food labels, the present study examines the effect of providing accessible, objective information contradicting consumers’ overly positive inferences of organic food products.
