Summary in the original language of the document
Klimabelastningen fra foderet til de drægtige søer kan nedbringes med 11 pct. ved at anvende biprodukter som pulp og grøn saft fra raffinering af kløvergræs til grønt protein.
Summary translation
Calculation of climate footprint from pig feed
Calculation of the GHG production of a co-product or of waste product is based on an economical allocation of the value of the bulk product and the side products and using these factors on the total GHG production of the process. The climate impact of the side or waste products can thereafter be used in the climate im-pact of the total daily diet, containing these products. When estimating the climate impact of the change of feed diets, it is presumed the productivity (weight gain, piglets per sow) is unchanged. The calculations for diets containing pulp-mass from the grass protein synthesis and barley mash from beer processing are pre-sented in a fact sheet (separate document).
