Summary
Thanks to the nutrient budget tool NutriGadget, available at https://orgprints.org/id/eprint/38025/ and developed by Reimer et al in H2020 project RELACS, NORSØK has developed a tool for planning the fertiliser management in market gardens. In market gardens, intensive small-scale vegetable production is carried out, usually in fixed in high beds with restricted input of mechanical support such as soil tillage. Application of composts and mulching material may lead to high surplus of nutrients, and even if the total area as small, a tool for evaluating the nutrient budgets for N, P, K and other plant nutrients may be of interest. The tool as such (Excel file) is available at https://orgprints.org/id/eprint/44305/ . More data on the yield levels in organic market gardens are welcome.
