Summary in the original language of the document
Researchers from Aarhus University, Department of Animal Science, have found in the Organic RDD6 project WI-FI that it can have a positive effect to reduce the protein content of the feed for sows early and in the middle of the pregnancy period. At the same time, the protein the sows get via roughage in the winter should be taken into account. It has been shown that a reduction in the protein content provides more energy for the sows' milk yield, which means that the piglets grow better in the subsequent lactation period.
