Summary
Row soil management systems, as an alternative to chemical weeding, were compared to chemical weed control in a fruit-growing area in central Italy to assess their compatibility with production requirements and their effects on the sustainability of the orchard system, taking into account the effects on plant biodiversity, biomass production, soil quality and peach orchard productivity.
