Summary in the original language of the document

Third report + Final report (merged deliverables 5.6 and 5.7 ). The partners involved in WP5 are the Research Centre Laimburg (LAIM) and the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland).
The following field trials aim to evaluate the performances of a rain-proof roof combined with lateral exclusion nets in organic apple orchards. The rain-proof roof should protect the trees from rainwater, reducing the emergence of fungal infections such as scab and rottenness, while the lateral nets should markedly decrease the damages caused by pests. During 2019 and 2020 the ‘Keep in Touch® anti-acqua’ cover system was tested on ‘Gala’ (at LAIM) ‘Topaz’ and ‘Ariwa’ (at FiBL).
