In der Öffentlichkeit wird die Teichwirtschaft häufig als „Gegner“ des Naturschutzes angesehen, da die fischereiliche Bewirtschaftung als reine Nutzung eingestuft wird. Traditionell bewirtschaftete Teiche bzw. Teichgebiete erbringen jedoch eine Reihe von Ökosystemdienstleistungen. Anhand des naturschutzfachlichen Wertes werden deren
Leistungen für die Erhaltung der Biodiversität aufgezeigt.
Summary translation
Pond fish culture is often seen as an “opponent” of nature conservation by the public, as fish cultivation in ponds is considered as pure resource exploitation. However, traditionally managed ponds or pond areas provide a range of ecosystem services. In this paper, their services for the conservation of biodiversity are illustrated on the basis of their nature conservation value.
