In organic potato cultivation, late blight (Phytophthora infestans) can cause significant losses. Often, the use of copper is necessary, which is limited in organic farming. Öko-SIMPHYT is a decision support system for the termination of copper spraying and the quantity of copper needed.
First, you have to provide your exact location, the potato variety, the planting density, the condition of the plants and the recent amount of precipitation. Based on that, the tool presents appropriate recommendations.
First, you get a recommended start of treatment. Second, the tool gives a recommendation for the treatment interval, the quantity needed and a possible treatment break as well as a prediction for the risk of infection.
The homepage is only available in German and a free account is required to use the tool. The following countries can be chosen as location: Australia, Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania, Sweden and Slovenia.

Öko-SIMPHYT ist ein Entscheidungshilfesystem für die Terminierung der Kupferspritzungen und der Auswahl der Kupferaufwandmenge.
Zu Beginn werden der exakte Standort, die Kartoffelsorte, die Anbaudichte, der Stand der Pflanzen und die jüngste Niederschlagsmenge abgefragt. Basierend auf diesen Angaben werden die Empfehlungen erstellt.
