Summary in the original language of the document
Summary translation
A tool made up of picture cards has been developed in a Danish research and development project: HighCrop. The purpose of the tool is to offer an advisory media targeted organic plant growers that will have more effect than traditional advisory methods.
The picture card tool has been tested in different situations: education, experience exchange groups, advisory visits and in interviews. In all these situations the tool has shown good results such as engagement, absorption and new recognitions.
Advisors who have tested the tool appreciate it and want to use it further. Advisors who have not tried it are more sceptic as they expect it to be too time consuming, that farmers will regard it as unserious and that it will imply further education of the adviser to use it.
The picture card tool has shown promissing results with interesting perspectives. But to diffuse it into common advisory practise it has to be adapted and supported by the advisory institutions.
