Summary

Purpose
To provide a platform for the discussion and exchange of knowledge and experiences.
To support organic plant breeding programmes.
To develop scientific concepts of organic plant breeding.
To establish an independent body of competent experts to develop organic plant breeding standards.
Methods
ECO-PB has several activities to advance its goals including: winter wheat variety trials in several European locations; the organization of an international workshop on organic plant breeding; contributions to EU legislative efforts; and the creation of informational resources such as a website and a monthly newsletter.
