Summary
Feeding dairy cows in organic dairy farming happens on the same physiological fundamental principles as in conventional farms. Differences consider limiting use of special feed and differing feeding values. It is shown that roughage quality, roughage intake and optimum concentrate feeding are the most important feeding factors influencing economy of organic dairy farming.
