Under åren 2000-2002 genomförde man försök med blomkål vid MTT's Grönsaksforskningstation i Kumo, Kokemäki, västra Finland. Till problemen med ekologisk blomkålsproduktion hör skadeinsekter, ogräs, små odlingsarealer och tillgången på näringsämnen.
