Synthesis of cultivar evaluation case-studies:recommendations and follow-up plans

Summary

This deliverable is part of LiveSeeding’s work to advance organic cultivar evaluation, make it more cost efficient and relevant to the needs of organic agriculture and food systems. Task 2.3 focused on supporting and monitoring 18 pilot case-studies to test cultivar evaluation guidelines initially published as part of the LIVESEED project under real-world conditions, covering both arable and vegetable crops. The work of this task has been to analyse how multi-actor networks organise with a decentralised, on farm ‘frugal approach’, to align evaluation practices and methodologies within the objectives and constraints of organic systems.
