Summary
This plant genetic card presents a Medium-grain rice (Oryza sativa) population (OHM) established in Italy in 2020 from 16 selected accessions. The population was developed through a participatory selection process involving farmers and technicians and has subsequently evolved through natural outcrossing and adaptation to the growing environment. The card provides information on the population’s development, technical characteristics, cultivation requirements, processing and culinary uses, as well as seed availability. The plant genetic card was provided in English and Italian by Rete Semi Rurali as part of the Horizon Europe LiveSeeding project.
