Summary
This database originates from field trials conducted between 2003 and 2022 by CREABIO at the La Hourre experimental site (southwestern France) and was compiled by ITAB. The objective of these trials was to evaluate the performance of soybean (Glycine max) varieties under irrigated and non-irrigated conditions under organic management. A total of 79 varieties were tested.
The trials followed a split-plot design with 3 replicates.
The database includes information on:
- Field operations: sowing, fertilization, weed control, and harvesting
- Production performance: grain yield and protein content
- Yield components: plants density (plants/m²), pods density (pods/m²) and grains density (grains/m ²) thousand grain weight, height at maturity, height of first pod
Additionally, the database contains daily weather data (minimum, maximum, and mean temperature, as well as precipitation) recorded at the on-site weather station during the experimental period, along with several soil descriptors.
