Summary translation

Teaser: | Agroforestry as a way forward. |
What problem does the tool address?: | The way forward for Swedish agriculture is a central concern for society. It is a matter of life and death for all Swedes, which has always been the case. At least that’s how it appears to a farmer’s son from Söderslätt in Skåne who knows how seriously farmers take their work, tasks and vocation in life. |
What solution does the tool offer?: | In this leaflet, you will read about Agroforestry, which is one such way forward. Old pre-industrial wisdom is combined with post-industrial science in a consensus on the benefits of trees for the agricultural landscape. Satellites and cloud services are all very well, but we also need to use more down-to-earth methods. Through millions of years of experience, trees have become experts in many of the things that society needs today, and they are tried and trusted companions for the farmer. Now that we have acquired the knowledge of trees’ abilities, it would be strange if we did not make the best use of that knowledge - for the benefit and enjoyment of all. |
