Diese Publikation enthält für achtzehn Gemüsearten oder -gruppen detaillierte Empfehlungen zu den wichtigsten Krankheiten und Schädlingen. Die Ausgabe 2023 enthält zusätzlich das neue Kapitel "Kürbis". Es umfasst allgemeine vorbeugende Massnahmen, sowie Handlungsempfehlungen gegen Echten Mehltau, Gurkenmosaik, Schnecken und die Umfallkrankheit bei Kürbissen. Alle bisherigen Kapitel wurden erweitert und aktualisiert.
Die Empfehlungen des Merkblattes ergänzen die während der Anbausaison wöchentlich erscheinenden Pflanzenschutzmitteilungen von Agroscope und FiBL für den Schweizer Biogemüsebau. Grundlagen des Pflanzenschutzes sind im Ende März 2023 neu erschienenen Merkblatt "Pflanzenschutz im Biogemüsebau" nachzulesen.
