Summary in the original language of the document
In recent years, advancements in copepod production systems have been driven by the increasing demand for copepod-based feeds in aquaculture. Copepod nauplii and adults are highly nutritious and provide essential fatty acids, amino acids, and vitamins required for the healthy development of fish and shrimp larvae. The nutritional profile of copepods is particularly important during the early stages of larval development when the immune system and organ development are highly dependent on the availability of specific nutrients. By incorporating copepod-based feeds into aquaculture practices, it is possible to enhance the survival, growth, and overall performance of larval fish and shrimp.
