La recherche se tourne aujourd’hui vers l’étude de différents moyens de lutte biologique qui, en combinaison, permettraient d’atteindre une éradication quasi totale de la carie. Les résistances variétales, les traitements de semences en adéquation avec l’agriculture biologique et la détection de la carie
au stade jeunes plantules sont autant de pistes qui ont été étudiées au CRA-W en 2020 et 2021.

Research is now turning to the study of different biological control methods which, in combination, could virtually eradicate the bunt. Varietal resistance, seed treatments suitable for organic farming and detection of bunt at the young seedling stage are just some of the avenues being explored at the CRA-W in 2020 and 2021.
