Summary

The ever-growing disconnect between humans and nature caused by a modernized world can have negative effects on human health, how people support and engage with conservation efforts, and sustainable practices, and how they overall value nature and the environment. Therefore a lot of research has been conducted on the connection with nature and how to reconnect people with nature. So far, there is limited research on the role of food in relation to the individual´s connection with nature. This research aims to explore whether, and in which way, nature-based food practices have the possibility to strengthen the connectedness with nature.
