Summary
La règlementation européenne, notamment, motive les éleveurs de volailles en AB à accroître l'autonomie alimentaire de leur élevage. Une certaine incertitude plane cependant quant aux potentiels effets négatifs de l'utilisation des céréales à paille, et notamment du triticale dans l'alimentation, sur les performances zootechniques des volailles. En résultent des taux d'incorporation limité de cette céréale dans les rations. Or, en plus de ses atouts nutritionnels, la rusticité du triticale le rend aisément cultivable en AB.
Summary translation
European regulations, in particular, motivate organic poultry farmers to increase the feed autonomy of their farms. However, there is some uncertainty about the potential negative effects of the use of straw cereals, and triticale in particular, on the zootechnical performance of poultry. This results in limited incorporation rates of this cereal in rations. However, in addition to its nutritional advantages, the hardiness of triticale makes it easily cultivable in organic agriculture.
