Summary
A sucessão geracional de agricultores familiares e paysans (camponeses) foi investigada nas regiões Metropolitana de Belo Horizonte (RMBH) e Île-de-France (IDF), conhecida como re-gião parisiense. A literatura e a experiência dos agricultores investigados demonstraram que a agricultura ecológica (orgânica, agroecológica e biologique) é mais valorizada pela sociedade do que a convencional, resultado de um conjunto de fatores atrelados aos sistemas agroali-mentares sustentáveis. Nessa condição, a agricultura ecológica apresenta-se com mais futu-ro, sob o ângulo da sucessão agrícola geracional, quando o filho do agricultor vê o valor eco-nômico, a importância ambiental e o prestígio social de seu trabalho. Os Resultados informam que as apreensões dos agricultores sobre sua importância trouxeram implicações à sucessão agrícola de seus filhos e que se manifesta diferente, em função da agricultura (ecológica e convencional) e dos Contextos regionais.
Summary translation
The generational succession of family farmers and peasant was investigated in the Metropolitan regions of Belo Horizonte (RMBH) and Paris known as Île-of-France (IDF). The literature and the experience of the targeted farmers demonstrate that ecological agriculture (organic, groecológica and biologique) is more valorizated and appreciated by the society than the conventional , as result of a set of factors linked to the sustainable agro-alimentary systems. In this condition, organic agriculture is presented with more future, under the perspective of the generational agricultural succession, when the son of the farmer see the economic value, environmental importance and the social recognition of its work. The results showed that the apprehensions of the farmers of their importance had brought implications for the agricultural succession of their children and, which manifest themselves in function of agricultural approach (ecological and conventional) and the regional contexts.
