Summary
Porject aim:: To reduce nutrient losses and emissions from organic sow herds by implementing trees in noveldesigns/conceptsto:
- Increase nutrient uptakes by the trees
- Increase nutrient removal (tree material)
- Add value to the ‘occupied’ land area -> to encourage more farmers to implement trees
And to improve biodiversity and carbon sequestration while maintaining the animal benefits of adopting trees…
