Summary in the original language of the document
How can nature conservation be integrated into the production of medicinal plants? Processors of medicinal plants were surveyed. All of them are aware of questions of nature protection. Collecting wild plants in south-eastern Europe is still cheaper than cultivation that would preserve their natural habitats best. Both approaches contain a lot of problems. Another approach semi-natural production tries to combine sustainable harvesting in the natural sites with goals of nature conservation.
