Summary in the original language of the document

In this video, which was produced by Donausoja and FiBL, we show how the processing of soya is done on the farm of Johannes Edhofer in Austria. He cultivates soy himself and feeds it to his laying hens after processing on his farm.
The video is in German, but English subtitles are available. It is the results of a collaboration of the Horizon 2020 projects Legumes Translated and OK-Net Ecofeed project, which aims to help organic pig and poultry farmers in achieving the goal of 100% use of organic and regional feed.

Summary translation

EPrint Type:Practice tool
What problem does the tool address?:Soya is an excellent source of protein for human consumption and for animal feed. However, it also has digestive inhibitors. These must be deactivated. This requires heat treatment.
What solution does the tool offer?:There are various methods for carrying out this heat treatment. One of these processes is toasting. Usually this process is outsourced and does not take place on the farm.
