Summary translation
Yield stability, grain size (percentage more than 2.5 mm) and crude protein content were calculated for four varieties of spring barley at four experimental sites in 2013 until 2017 in Bavaria. Two varieties were more instable (higher coefficient of variances), one variety less predictable (higher mean squared error) concerning plump grain, whereas grain yield and crude protein content show only fewer differences. Hence, the stability of plump grain should be taken greater account of choice of variety.
