Summary
Dairy cows grazing outside or fed indoors with fresh grass are increasingly infected by liver fluke, a parasitic flatworm. The losses resulting from liver fluke disease are generally underestimated. A research project has recently developed a tool for dairy farmers to assess the impact of this disease on their farms and to gain insight into measures to address the problem.
