Summary
Mengteelten van granen en peulvruchten verhogen de teeltzekerheid en leveren meer bedrijfseigen eiwit in het diervoeder. In het Europees onderzoeksproject COBRA werken 41 partners samen aan het ondersteunen en ontwikkelen van biologische veredeling van granen en peulvruchten. Een belangrijk thema is mengteelt en de veldkarakteristieken die van belang zijn voor de biologische rasontwikkeling. Bij Inagro en HoGent werden in verschillende mengteelten van granen met peulvruchten, Europese rassen en nieuw plantmateriaal uitgetest.

Mixed crops of cereals and grain legumes increase production security and increase protein content in animal feed. In the European research project CORBRA, 41 partners supports the development of organic breeding of cereals and grain legumes. Important themes are mixed crops and field characteristics which are important for the development of varieties. Inagro and HoGent tested European varieties and new plant material in different mixtures of cereals and grain legumes.
